If you’ve been around here for a while, you probably know that I love Disney.

Okay… maybe “love” is an understatement.

My friends send me Disney memes. My family sends me Disney news articles. My social media feeds are filled with Disney content. And if there’s a Disney conversation happening nearby, chances are I’m joining in.

But there are a few things you may not know about my Disney obsession.

So, in the spirit of getting to know each other a little better, here are five fun facts about me.

1. I Didn’t Truly Fall in Love with Disney Until I Was an Adult

I actually visited Disney World for the first time when I was a toddler.

Like many people, I went again in high school and had fun, but Disney wasn’t a huge part of my life yet.

The real Disney obsession didn’t start until adulthood.

Somewhere between walking down Main Street, U.S.A., staying at Disney resorts, and discovering all the little details that make Disney special, I completely fell in love with the experience.

These days, I couldn’t even tell you how many trips I’ve taken.

And honestly? I don’t want to know. I think it’s more fun that way.

2. I Cry Every Single Time I See Cinderella Castle

Every.

Single.

Time.

You would think after all the trips I’ve taken, I’d eventually get used to it.

Nope.

There’s just something about walking down Main Street, hearing the music, seeing Cinderella Castle at the end of the street, and realizing you’re finally there.

For me, that’s the moment the stress of everyday life disappears.

It’s the moment the magic becomes real.

And yes, I absolutely tear up every time.

3. My Favorite Disney Ride Might Be a Controversial Choice

Ask most Disney fans about their favorite attraction and you’ll hear answers like Space Mountain, Rise of the Resistance, or Flight of Passage.

I love those too.

But one of my favorite attractions in all of Walt Disney World is Living with the Land.

I know.

Go ahead and laugh.

But if you’ve ridden it, you probably understand.

It’s peaceful, relaxing, fascinating, and somehow feels different every time. I never skip it when I’m in EPCOT.

Speaking of favorites, if I could only visit one Disney park for the rest of my life, it would absolutely be EPCOT.

Good food, festivals, great attractions, and Living with the Land? That’s an easy choice for me.

4. I’ve Never Pin Traded

This one shocks people.

I’ve visited Disney World more times than I can count.

I’ve planned countless Disney vacations.

I’ve watched people fill entire lanyards with pins.

And yet…

I’ve never pin traded.

Not once.

I don’t know how I’ve managed to avoid it for this long, especially since it’s such a popular Disney tradition.

Maybe one day I’ll finally give it a try.

Or maybe I’ll continue surprising Disney fans with this confession.

5. The Reason I Became a Disney Travel Agent Is Simple

I know how overwhelming Disney planning can feel.

There are resorts to choose from.

Dining reservations.

Lightning Lanes.

Transportation options.

Special events.

Tickets.

And about a thousand opinions online telling you you’re doing it wrong.

I became a Disney travel agent because I want people to experience the magic without feeling stressed by the planning.

I want my clients to spend less time worrying about logistics and more time looking forward to their vacation.

Because everyone deserves that feeling of walking down Main Street, seeing the castle, and forgetting about the outside world for a little while.

That’s what Disney has always done for me.

And that’s what I hope it does for you, too.

• Favorite Disney resort: Beach Club Resort. The atmosphere feels like home to me, and if you know, you know… the lobby smell is amazing.

• Favorite classic Disney character: Winnie the Pooh. Growing up in an English family, Pooh was a huge part of my childhood, and he’ll always have a special place in my heart.

• Favorite Disney snack: Casey’s Corner corn dog nuggets. Unfortunately, going gluten free means I can’t enjoy them anymore, but they’ll always be a favorite.
